After much careful consideration the Badger Lake Dragon Boat Association regrets to announce the cancellation of the 24th Annual Badger Lake Dragon Boat Bash that was previously scheduled for August 7th & 8th at Badger Lake, Kennedy Park. The health and safety of our community is our highest priority. With the ongoing public health threat due to COVID-19 cancelling this year’s event, while a difficult decision, is undoubtedly the right thing to do. Even if larger events were permitted later this summer or fall we believe the requirements to protect our participants, volunteers and community members would make attempting to produce this event unreachable.
While we are disappointed to cancel the 2020 event we are pleased to announce the 2021 event will be held August 13th & 14th at Badger Lake, Kennedy Park. Our Friday night entertainment will feature Fort Dodge’s own “Lone Tree Revival.” Traditional Dragon Boat races will be held Saturday, August 14th.
We hope you will understand and respect our decision to cancel. We look forward to seeing everyone next summer.
